Details
Miter gears are a type of bevel gear where the two rotational axes intersect, typically at 90 degrees, and are used to change transmission direction without altering speed, as they have the same number of teeth. Available in straight, spiral, and zerol cuts, miter gears can also come in angular variations with non-90-degree angles, known as angular miter gears. Straight tooth miter gears can mate with identical gears, while spiral miter gears require pairing of opposite-handed gears.
